10/12/04

GLENDALE, AZ - October, 12, 2004
- Pizza Patrón, the premier Latino pizza brand, opened its first location in Glendale (third in the Phoenix area) on Tuesday, October 12. The store, located at 5814 W. Olive Ave., Ste. 105, is the third of many for the Phoenix area, says Lalo Gonzales, partner of Grupo Pizza De Arizona, LLC, the company developing the Pizza Patrón brand in Arizona.

"We're excited to be in the Glendale market, especially being across the street from the Glendale Community College," said Gonzales. "We've received strong support from the Hispanic community here and want to thank everyone for making us a part of the neighborhood."

On October 28 the new Pizza Patron will host a grand opening celebration featuring family entertainment, free pizza samples, a Chamber of Commerce sponsored ribbon cutting, contests and prizes.

On the corner of 59th and Olive, the store is open from 4:00 to 10:00 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays, 4:00 to midnight on Fridays, 12:00 p.m. to midnight Saturdays, and 12:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Sundays. Call in orders can be placed by calling 602-741-5343.

Pizza Patrón was founded by Antonio Swad in 1986. Since franchising began in March 2003, the brand has gone from four locations to 117, either open or under development.
