Fast-growing Latino Chain Continues Growth in Central Texas 12/03/04 Austin, Texas - December, 03, 2004 - Pizza Patrón, the premier Latino pizza brand, opened its third location in Austin on Friday, November 19, the second Austin opening in just two weeks. The store, located at 730 W. Stassney Lane, Ste. 165., is the third to open in Austin of the 16 that Pizza Rica, LP has under development in Austin, the Rio Grande Valley and Corpus Christi. Their second store opened November 8 on Riverside Drive and has experienced great success in its first three weeks of business, said Henry Leonard, president of Pizza Rica. "We are excited about the response we have received here in Austin, said Leonard. We look forward to growing and working with the Hispanic community, and to continue providing them a quality pizza at an affordable price. In the Confetti shopping center, the store is open from 4:00 to 10:00 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays, 4:00 to midnight on Fridays, 12:00 p.m. to midnight Saturdays, and 12:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Sundays. Call in orders can be placed by calling 512-443-0014. Pizza Patrón was founded by Antonio Swad in 1986. Since franchising began in March 2003, the brand has gone from four locations to 117, either open or under development. Pizza Patrón features festive and fun carryout-only pizza stores that are community based in Spanish speaking or predominately Hispanic neighborhoods. The menu is value oriented, offering high quality, freshly prepared pizzas at very low price points. All pizza dough is made fresh throughout the evening; no preservatives are added or needed. The sauce is prepared fresh in the stores, as well, from crushed Roma tomatoes. Only 100% mozzarella is used. Whole and half pizzas are offered at prices as low as $4.99 for a large pizza with cheese and one topping and $3.49 for the same half pizza. A large deluxe pizza with everything is only $6.99.
