Pizza Patrón Sponsors Fiestas Patrias at Texas Stadium
Over 100,000 Latinos attend yearly event

09/10/06

Irving, TX - September, 10, 2006
- Whether dancing to the beat, singing to the chorus, or hollering and cheering for their favorite performers, the more than 100,000 attendees at the 28th Annual Fiestas Patrias Festival came early and stayed late, celebrating Mexican Independence Day in style. Texas Stadium and the Dallas Cowboys hosted the 28th Annual Fiestas Patrias Festival, the largest FREE outdoor Hispanic Music Festival in Texas, on September 10. Produced by UNIVISION Radio/Dallas, the festival brings together families and individuals to enjoy amusement park rides, food, and musical heavy hitters such as Beto y sus Canarios, Grupo Montez du Durango, Los Alegres de la Sierra, Liberacion, Los Invasores de Nuevo Leon, Pegasso, Julio Voltio, Gloria Trevi and Mach and Daddy. The popular performances and appearances by the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, the Dallas Desperados Dancers and Rowdy also thrilled the crowd.

A yearly sponsor of this event, the Pizza Patrón team was out in full force. Branded vehicles, a 20' inflatable icon, branded tents, banners and signs were on display in strategic areas to promote brand awareness. The Patrón tent was a constant flurry of activity, complete with a prize wheel, DJ, soccer juggling competition and basketball throws.

Visitors to the Patrón tent took turns spinning the prize wheel with the opportunity to win free pizzas, branded t-shirts and caps. Once again, the booth was a crowd favorite, continuing to boast some of the longest lines at the event.

Pizza Patrón staff members also hosted an electrifying soccer circle, where visitors showcased their soccer skills to win t-shirts and other prizes. Pizza Patrón fans were spotted throughout the day sporting their branded apparel.

"We always look forward to this event," said Ernesto Hernandez, director of operations for Pizza Patrón Inc., "it is well organized and seems to get bigger each year. It is a unique opportunity for us to connect with so many of our faithful customers, and to introduce our brand to lots of potential new ones."
