La Alianza de Fútbol Hispano holds regional tournament 10/07/06 Houston, TX - October, 07, 2006 - Players arrived with high expectations that their squad would find success and qualify for the next level of tournament play. Thousands of fans were on hand to support their favorite team or family members who were participating in the event. Over 17 different Houston fútbol leagues were represented by the hundreds of skilled athletes taking the field. In addition to electrifying soccer matches, spectators enjoyed a variety of food and entertainment. The vendor village included a variety of booths for games and sampling. "We are very excited to be part of this tournament and to be able to bring this level of soccer to fans for free," said Ernesto Hernandez, director of operations for Pizza Patrón Inc. "We are committed to community soccer and are extremely proud to help support thousands of players across the country." A proud sponsor of the event, Pizza Patrón was very visible at the fields. Branded vehicles, a 20' inflatable icon, branded tents, banners and signs were on display to promote brand awareness. The Patrón tent and prize wheel were a popular attraction throughout the day giving visitors the opportunity to win free pizzas, branded t-shirts and caps. Pizza Patrón also offered hot, fresh pizza and Fiesta Wings" to attendees and became an instant hit.
