Located Next to Fiesta at Coit & Spring Valley 03/09/04 DALLAS - March, 09, 2004 - Pizza Patrón, the premier Latino pizza brand, has opened its ninth location in Dallas. The store, located next to the Fiesta Shopping Center at 8108 Spring Valley Rd, is owned by PML Restaurants I, LP, a company formed by Maurice Purnell and Brian Mitts. The store is the third of five that the partnership will open says Purnell. "We have learned a lot since opening our first store in December," said Purnell. "It is exciting to see the brand develop throughout the metroplex, we are beginning to have a great distribution of stores making the concept broadly accessible to all areas of Dallas and Ft Worth." Pizza Patrón was founded by Antonio Swad in 1986. In March 2003, he opened the new Pizza Patrón corporate office to begin offering franchises. Since, the brand has grown from four locations to 92, either open or under development. Pizza Patrón features festive and fun carryout-only pizza stores that are community based in Spanish speaking or predominately Hispanic neighborhoods. The units are open from 4pm to 10pm Monday through Thursday, 4pm to 12am on Friday, 12pm to 12am Saturdays and 12pm to 10pm Sundays. The menu is value oriented, offering high quality, freshly prepared pizzas at very low price points. All pizza dough is made fresh throughout the evening; no preservatives are added or needed. The sauce is prepared fresh in the stores, as well, from crushed Roma tomatoes. Only 100% mozzarella is used. Whole and half pizzas are offered at prices as low as $4.99 for a large pizza with cheese and one topping and $3.49 for the same half pizza. A large deluxe pizza with everything is only $6.99.
