First of Many Ft Worth/Arlington Locations 03/24/04 FT WORTH - March, 24, 2004 - Pizza Patrón, the premier Latino pizza brand, has opened its first location in Fort Worth. The store, located outside the Fort Worth Town Center at 4200 South Freeway, is owned by Tarrant County Pizza Partners, LLC, a company formed by Gary Shultz. The store is the first of five that we will open says Shultz. "The store is off to a great start," said Shultz. "We really look forward to getting more stores very soon." Gary Shultz's second location is currently under construction at 1114 N. Collins Street and will be open soon. Pizza Patrón was founded by Antonio Swad in 1986. In March 2003, he opened the new Pizza Patrón corporate office to begin offering franchises. Pizza Patrón features festive and fun carryout-only pizza stores that are community based in Spanish speaking or predominately Hispanic neighborhoods. The units are open from 4pm to 10pm Monday through Thursday, 4pm to 12am on Friday, 12pm to 12am Saturdays and 12pm to 10pm Sundays. The menu is value oriented, offering high quality, freshly prepared pizzas at very low price points. All pizza dough is made fresh throughout the evening; no preservatives are added or needed. The sauce is prepared fresh in the stores, as well, from crushed Roma tomatoes. Only 100% mozzarella is used. Whole and half pizzas are offered at prices as low as $4.99 for a large pizza with cheese and one topping and $3.49 for the same half pizza. A large deluxe pizza with everything is only $6.99.
