Pizza Patrón sponsors Cinco de Mayo at Lone Star Park

Huge celebration planned for Cinco de Mayo

DALLAS  – May 5, 2011 – Over 50,000 people from all over Dallas/Fort Worth upheld the long-standing tradition of celebrating La Batalla on Cinco de Mayo. This year, being held at Lone Star Park, in Grand Prairie, TX. In addition to live music and other entertainment, the event offered exhibits, games, raffles, and food and product samples.

As a sponsor of the event, Pizza Patrón carried a strong presence, hosting a prize tent and displaying two 3′ x 30′ banners and one 3′ by 8′ banner. Staff positioned three wrapped vehicles at the entrances and other strategic areas to promote brand awareness. The Patrón tent was a nonstop flurry of excitement, complete with a DJ and a soccer game for prizes.

Participants took turns trying to score with the opportunity to win free medium pizzas, free Churros and even free logo T-shirts! Loyal Pizza Patrón fans could be seen throughout the day sporting their Pizza Patrón logo-wear. Players were given three shots per game with a chance to win by sinking at least one shot.  The booth was a crowd favorite, often boasting the longest lines.

Long after the rest of the tents and booths had been taken down, Pizza Patrón’s tent was still going strong. A large crowd gathered in the area as the DJ played Reggatón beats and had the crowd dancing well into the evening.
